Jos Rafael Fello Meza Ivancovich Jose Rafael "Fello" Meza, "The Master", was born on 6 July 1920 in the city of Carthage and debuted in the ranks of Carthaginian Club Sport at age 17 in 1937, quickly earning ownership. Only three years after their debut album "Fello" Meza emerged as the most prominent figure of the Old Metropolis box (and is known to the Carthaginian) and won the national scoring title in Costa Rica in 1940 with 13 touchdowns, to despite playing only nine games due to injury. "Fello" ended its successful and memorable career with Club Sport Herediano, team he played and won the championship in 1955-1956. Meza, died on 15 June 1988.In tribute to the greatness of this player, the Club Sport Cartagin s christened its stadium with the name Jos Rafael Fello Meza Ivancovich 2 August 1973 during an international triangular attended by Liverpool of Uruguay, and Herediano CSCartagin s. Jos Rafael Meza Ivancovich is considered, along with Alejandro Morera Soto, as the greatest player in the history of Costa Rican football.
